Packing Instructions from the Packmaster General of Canada (Ben)
Hi WindSyncies,
When you are all packing your bags tonight, let's all remember a few things so we are on the same page for this amazing tour opportunity.
1. Try to use a duffle bag or something without rigidity. Last time we had plenty of room for instruments and roller boards but this time we won't, so keep it small. Kerry your roller board that i was so compelled by in LA, should probably be plan B for you if nothing else is possible.
2. Don't bring so many clothes. Wear the same jeans everyday, 2 pairs max this will keep your bag from overflowing and allow you more room.
3. Roll your shirts and pants into tight bundles. Stacking these like bricks is the way to go. Cords and plugs can easily fit in the gaps.
4. Put stuff inside the shoes you pack. Squishy stuff, and pack it in. Also pack lighter shoes and wear bulkier/heavier ones on the plane. Wear your sweatshirt don't pack it.
5. If you are having real trouble - don't forget we can stash stuff in Seattle but you won't be able to get it while we're in Canada. What I mean is, pack a bigger bag with small bag in it, and use the smaller bag when space is at a premium in our car. Lest you have stuff on your lap...
6. There's nothing you can do about the size of your instrument case; those alone could fill a small car. So, if there is space in there for smaller items - use it!
7. DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSPORT. Whoever forgets has to buy coffee for everyone the entire trip. Don't let it be YOU!
Happy Packing, call if you need my help (as you all know - packing is my real skill/gift, i'm not proud, its just true)
Love Ben
